Android developers Google have announced the name of their latest version of the operating system. Last month the company asked it’s users to submit their suggestions for the next release so from here on Android N will now be known as Android Nougat.
The company, who like to name their system version after popular treats such as Ice Cream Sandwich, KitKat and most currently Marshmallow, made the announcement via Twitter.

New features that you can expect to find in the release are an improved notification shade and split-screen multitasking to the mobile OS and night mode viewing (Similar to that already on iOS). Also a quick double tap of the home button will take you to the last app you was using.
The new operating system will be released to the public in the next few weeks.
